american sign language (ASL) INTERPRETATION

First Baptist offers American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation during most of our Sunday Worship Services! If you are in need of ASL interpretation, please let us know in advance by contacting the church office (E-mail: or Phone: (978) 374-7491).

If you are a proficient ASL interpreter and would like to join our ASL Interpretation team, please contact the church office for more information!

First Baptist Church offers a series of multi-week classes in learning to speak American Sign Language (ASL). The classes generally run for 6 or 8 weeks, they meet once per week for about 30 minutes, and they are differentiated by level of progression (Level 1 for Beginners, Level 2 for Intermediate, Level 3 for Advanced, and so on). There is no cost for these courses, and they are open to the public so all are welcome to attend! They are taught by Madeline Olio, a Deaf member at FBC who is not only fluent in ASL but is also an educator by training and a certified instructor!

Check back here for more info on when our next round of ASL classes will be offered! You can also check out the FBC calendar to confirm specific course dates and times!
